Running Accomplishments:

I starting running in high school. In cross-country I did a 16:57 5k, 4:30 mile and 1:57 800.  I did a year of school and Delaware State University before transfering to BYU.  I walked onto the BYU track team as an 800m runner.  I lowered my 800 PR to 1:53.7 my first year.  I also did a 15:47 5k.  In the next year I set my indoor record at 1:55 but did not compete in the spring due to injuries.  After getting married and working I did not complete my last year of collegiate track running.

Short-Term Running Goals:

-Increase weekly mileage to 70 mpw.

-Run 4:05 mile/ 1:49 800

Personal:

I have been married for almost 3 years.  We are expecting our first child in July.

8.5 easy miles.  It was super windy.  I work a light wind breaker and got really hot on the way out.  I was happy to have it coming back. 4 miles against the wind can be really cold when you are sweating. I think I am going to have to start getting up early for my run to try and meet Sash and Jeff out on the trail.  Running by myself is starting to take its toll.

8 miles in 55:35.  I felt really good, no soreness, pains or tight spots.  Did first 4 in 28:08 and last 4 in 27:27.  My last mile was in 5:52, hence my 1 threshold mile.  It felt really good.  Tomorrow I have 5X800m on the track at 2:35 pace with 400m jog between each one.

6 miles total.  Did 1 mile warm-up, 5x800 w/400m job between each one and 1 mile cool down.  Did this at the BYU track.  It was a really nice day, high 50's with total sun and a slight breeze.  My 800m times were 2:40, 2:40, 2:36, 2:36, 2:28.  I have to admit I walked about 70m after each one before I started jogging.  My times were supposed to be 2:43 even but I know for sure I am in much better shape.  I felt a bit heavy on the first two but after that my pace felt the same on the others but was much faster.  I have always had a really good finishing kick, whether in races or workouts and I want to keep that up.  I  will be happy with myself when I can do 8X800 @2:35 and the last one in 2:20, then I will know I am in 5k shape.

13 miles in 1:26:54.  That is a 6:41 average pace.  Did a new route today and I was really happy with it.  Only one hill and not a lot of foot traffic.  I did a total of 50.?? miles this week.  I am really happy with that and excited to finally break into the 50's.
