I starting running in high school. In cross-country I did a 16:57 5k, 4:30 mile and 1:57 800.  I did a year of school and Delaware State University before transfering to BYU.  I walked onto the BYU track team as an 800m runner.  I lowered my 800 PR to 1:53.7 my first year.  I also did a 15:47 5k.  In the next year I set my indoor record at 1:55 but did not compete in the spring due to injuries.  After getting married and working I did not complete my last year of collegiate track running.

Short-Term Running Goals:

-Increase weekly mileage to 70 mpw.

-Run 4:05 mile/ 1:49 800

Personal:

I have been married for almost 3 years.  We are expecting our first child in July.

I have been working in LA for the last week and a half so have not had much time to write.  My 9 mile runs have been along the beach on a cement path.  Today a ran by so baby seals which was pretty cool.  I have not been able to get quality track work in the last three weeks but have kept my mileage around 50.  This week I plan to hit 60.  Today I just did a solid 9 at about 7:10 pace.

Did 9 total.  5 am and 4 pm.  Tomorrow I only need 15 to be at 60.  I am thinking 11 am and 4 pm.

Just did 10 AM miles in 1:14:30.  That is around a 7:25/30 pace I think.  Felt pretty good.

Did 5 miles at 8PM.  Total of 15 for the day and 60 exact for the week.  First 60 mile week in 3.5 years.

10 miles in 1:11:37.  That is about a 7:10 pace.  My legs felt really heavy from the 60 miles last week.  I figure I will do between 60 and 63 the next three weeks to get used to this higher mileage before I start working up to 70.  I need to start my tempo and track workouts again to prepare for the summer 5k races I wanna do.
